GIRLS/WOMENS JJ Howland & Carolyn Wester Wrestling Camp

Carolyn Wester is the founder and head coach of Wrestling Prep and the creator of Body Leveraging and Sequential Muscle Order (SMO), proprietary coaching systems she developed in 2005 and refined over more than two decades. She entered wrestling at age 42, starting with youth athletes and progressing to coaching nationally ranked wrestlers, Olympic and World-level competitors, UFC fighters, and professional MMA athletes. Wester’s career includes chief corner coach roles for the UFC (2015–2019) and being the first woman to hold that title. She has coached over 2,000 wrestlers annually since 2010 across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America, and has worked with elite fighters such as Khabib Nurmagomedov, Daniel Cormier, and Luke Rockhold. Her methods are science- and math-based, focusing on optimal body positioning, leverage, and mechanics rather than fixed techniques.
